Trust in Humanity Tuesday #11

Happy Tuesday! True to worst-day-of-the-week form, today has been a shocker (other than the moment when I found out Brisbane’s first cat cafe is near my work). But now I’m cuddled up on the couch with a doona, my own cat, and cheese on Ryvitas, looking forward to a sleep in and day off for the Ekka public holiday tomorrow.

Whether your day was as shitty as mine, orΒ full of fun and rainbows, check out this week’s super lovely, faith-in-humanity-restoring moments brought to you by:

1. This sweet old man who took a good reference to the extreme, putting an ad in the local newspaper, recommending his administration officer as an outstanding employee when his business closed.

2. The legend who put a cat cafe near my office.

3. This random act of kindness from a complete stranger who paid the parking ticket they found on a car outside the hospital.

4. The people who refused to translate a racist message.

5. The fact that a marriage equality bill is being tabled very very soon in Australia. Also, this website.

6. The ALS ice bucket challenge actually did good!

What restored your trust in humanity this week?
